  • (Yawn). . .WHAT? Where is the picture of the guy you (almost) met at the Royal Promenade Cafe? I set thru this whole show waiting for that picture!

Come on Nanse! We wanna see your (not quite) friend.

You know, the one you and Bill slipped the mickey to.

  • Alas, it was not a lasting relationship.
    And....don't call me Nanse!

  • Looks like it was a GREAT trip! So glad the stormy weather didn't stop any of the fun! Melissa is especially impressed with your ship! She can't believe there is a mall & an ice rink! Fabo Wabo! Thanks for sharing (raspberries to yawning Daddy). LOL! :)

  • It does look like a fabulous trip.

Is Uncle Kenny going to follow up with all the gossip, then? ;)

  • We were sitting/reading overlooking the Royal Promenade when we heard "Alpha, Alpha, Alpha, Promenade Cafe". We looked down and saw an older gentleman laying on the ground. Help arrived immediately followed by his family (who were paged after the Alpha call). They CPR'ed him for some 20 minutes, but he was never revived. It was so sad -- his wife and what appeared to be his son/wife were there. Ship crew took immedate care of them.

  • I've heard the Seaman's term for medical is Whiskey-Whiskey-Whiskey -- but cruise ships don't seem to use that one for obvious reasons -- in this case everyone would have jammed to the cafe for what they thought was free whiskey!
Maybe our resident facilitator ah...maybe our resident retired Navyman could weigh in on that one?

  • You got me. Alpha for the letter A, bravo for B, Charlie for C on down the line. I think Whiskey is for W but a good sailor would also run to the bar (if there were one on a Navy ship) if someone yelled Whiskey-Whiskey-Whiskey.
