THE STAND, Phase I

One of our (Lynda's) projects this spring is to transform a 'clump of trees' (as our building contractor referred to them - but he was considering bulldozing them over to set our house in place) to a park like setting where we could sit and enjoy nature while children (precariously)climbed in the surrounding trees.

  • I really like the 'Spectacular View of Lake Roosevelt'.
I know we are not to ask questions -- but 'I wonder when the lightning strike was'...? AND, as long as I'm wondering...I wonder if you guys are on schedule with the rain (at least here) the last couple of days.

  • Lynda is pretty sure she heard lightning strike there last spring while I was in California.

Land is still pretty wet, but that was expected. Home is scheduled to be delivered mid June, contractor handling excavation/foundation work says he needs two weeks before that. So far, so good. We are still shooting for occupancy July 7...plus or minus a week or two.

  • I hope you keep posting photos so we can see the progress.

We have big pine trees in our garden (and funnily enough, the builders wanted to plow over them too!) too! The only issue is that we have to keep clearing the needles away to keep them from killing off the grass.

    No lake views, though.
