Bradbury Beach Revised (V2 R01.01)

You may recall last May We posted some shots of this beach with little or no water (is it then just a desert?). Well, there was water, just WAY low. Here are some shots with water WAY up!

Lynda took Thumper there earlier this week so he could do his obedience homework.

The Bad news is...it is no Santa Monica Beach.
The Good News...it is NO Santa Monica Beach!

This is about the same shot as done earlier where Lynda and the dogs walked WAY out to the water. We picnic-ed here.

The float is FLOATING!

There are White logs floating around the beach area. Keeps the SHARKS out!

The guy cleaning up the area said it gets REAL busy on the weekend. I am guessing he has never been to a California beach!

This is a telephoto shot of the only other occupants. Two Moms and there little ones.

Next shots will be with Melissa frolicking on the beach. Does Melissa frolic?

  • Did you know:
    1. Mules were the utility muscle for life in the late 1800s in that area. Maybe Melissa would like to frolic on a mule?
2, The pretty violet flower, wild hyacinth, grows at Lake Roosevelt. Maybe Melissa can frolic in a field of wild flowers.
    3. There are sturgeon in Lake Roosevelt 8 to 20 feet long. They are also at least 64 years of age. Since they don't like to reproduce in the reservoir, no new sturgeon have been born since 1942 (wow, before even Grandpa was born) when the dam was finished. However, the state reintroduced sturgeon in 2006to help the population out. Maybe Melissa would like to swim with the sturgeons?

  • She will frolic on mule. She will frolic in the flowers. She will frolic with the sturgeons in the lake, with logs, for hours. But she will not eat green eggs and ham. She will not eat them Dad and FAN.
