First Day for the Old Dog
Dad heads off for his first day of school. Tax Class meets twice a week (Tuesday/Thursday 6-9 pm) for eleven weeks. Three hours each session for a total of 69 hours. I am to expect 1.5 hours plus of homework after each session. There are quizzes, a mid term and final. All counted towards final grade. They 'may' offer employment opportunities to students who achieve an overall grade of 80% or better.
Instructor claimed not to know exactly but thought first year tax preparers earn about $10/hour plus some rather complicated commission calculation.
Homework for this Thursday is Chapter One 1040EZ form. With Exercises to complete to exhibit proficiency.
I asked Lynda if I could have a back pack to match my jeans...she said "No." :o(
Note closeup of my departure. NEW haircut. Shorter and no 'part'. I asked for the 'Sinatra Look' (Frank not Nancy). She cut it a little closer than I would of picked, but we will see how it grows out. Lynda likes it, and that is most important. Very low maintenance.
I think what I requested is also called the Ceasar Look (Ole Blue Eyes stole it from Julius).

I think those are the cutest back to school pitures yet! You look so happy and eager, just like a good little student! :) I really like the haircut too. A whole new look for back to school. You can have Melissa's 5th grade backpack - it's pink plaid. :) nice pics. xo

Good luck. I hope you didn't forget your healthy snack and a lunch. Don't hit any girls.

Aunty: Indeed T-shirt is an New USS Enterprise Shirt (it even generated a comment from one of by fellow students) His brother served on the Big E in WWII. Previous version of my ship, not nuclear powered.
Captian of the Sea of Cortez: Not to worry. They sell Beer, Jerky and little envelopes of candy right across the street.
I will try to snap some pictures of my 5 classmates (2 female, 3 male) and instructor. ALL Hotties in their own way!
Wonder if any of them know how to play Odd Man for quarters?

Oh, man, I have neither the time nor the brain power to come up with the witty tidbits you all leave in the comments sections of these posts, but I have to thank you for all the giggles I get every afternoon as I read this stuff. You guys are too much! :o)

Tamicatt, not to worry, Lynda says it is because only YOU have a REAL job and can't bother with this blog junk. Maintaining house and handling the kids is a 24/7!
Note my new profile picture.
