Memorial Day at Santa Monica (part 2)

Right before we left the house,
Katelyn found some highlighters. Yea!
Kyle got to drive a bumper car for the first time.
Then while the girls continued to play at the carnival,
the boys went down to play in the surf.

  • Just a note - higlighters do not wash off easily. I got everything off but the two vertical marks on each cheek. I got them a little lighter, but basically she just looked like she had fought with a cat before going to the pier!

Melissa was soooooo much fun to ride with. Brave enough to go on everything big, but still scared enough to scream. I mean really scream -- not for fun, but the oh my gosh scream that escapes when you have no intention of screaming. She would also sometimes grab my hand, and I loved it! And then when it was over she laughed and giggled like a little kid! She made ME feel like a kid again!

  • OMG, what a look on her! Bumber cars already -- what a big boy. And Melissa seems to be so much fun on the Fast-Rides! It looks like everyone had a fun day.

  • Katelyn could be showing the 'next generation' makeup!

And Mom n Dad better watch their car keys. It is only a matter of time now. Something like; "Come on MOM! I do the bumper cars okay. How I use the car for tonight?"

  • No car driving yet, but maybe a little red tractor..

  • A little red tractor would be good.

He certainly cannot do much harm to it after Jay and Lynda have ridden it.

I have fixed the REALLY bad flat (tractor in the ditch/snow thing) but now the other rear tire/wheel is off and down in the shop.

Wait! Great Idea! With one wheel off, Kyle would just drive in a tiny circle. No worry about him driving off a cliff or anything!
